About the Project
Understanding how activities such as cooking and cleaning can impact the quality of the air we breathe and live in is vitally important. The aim of the IMPeCCABLE project is to monitor the production of different chemicals during cooking and cleaning, then use computational modelling to understand the complex underlying chemistry of indoor environments.
The following infographic gives an outline of why the study of indoor air quality is important, where cooking and cleaning processes fit into the overall picture when considering what influences the presence and quantities of indoor pollutants, and which areas the IMPeCCABLE research is targeting.
